Syracuse firefighters responded to a truck fire at Love’s Travel Center Wednesday morning. A truck out of Washington state that was headed to South Dakota was destroyed. The driver parked the truck and turned it on before he went inside the truck stop briefly. When he returned to the parking lot, the truck was in flames. The trailer was empty and no other trucks were damaged. Firefighters were called back to the truck stop when the truck rekindled later Wednesday morning. There was also a rescue call there Wednesday evening for a separate medical emergency.
