Multiple agencies combined to put out a house fire in Eddyville on Monday.
At approximately 1:00 p.m., Eddyville Fire responded to a structure fire at 907 Central Avenue. Shortly after their arrival, mutual aid was requested from Oconto, Miller and Callaway Fire Departments.
Radio station KCNI/KBBN reported that heavy smoke could be seen coming from a west window on the upper flood of the two-story home.
Due to the fire being located on the upper portion of the home, fire crews appeared to be taking a defensive stance spraying water through windows of the upper and lower floors.
At the location of the home, no fire hydrants were available to use, so water tanker crews had to leave the scene and refill the trucks just outside of Eddyville.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
