A Lincoln building sustained thousands in damage following a fire Thursday morning.
According to Lincoln Fire and Rescue, just before 6 a.m., crews were called to the 4700 block of Hartley St. in reference to a fire in the building. Upon arrival, firefighters observed smoke coming from a door of the building.
Fire crews entered and were able to quickly find the fire and extinguish it. The owners had arrived to find fire in the showroom of a combination honeybee and needlework business.
Damage is estimated at $30,000 for the structure and $20,000 for contents.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No injuries were reported.
