A house fire broke out in a wood-framed single-family home converted to transitional living space just South of Leavenworth on Tuesday in Omaha. The call for the fire came in just before 5 p.m. near 27th and Mason streets. Firefighters were on the scene working to try and save the home. The Omaha Fire Department said firefighters crews arrived at the home to find heavy volume of fire from ground level up over the eaves of a two and a half story. The occupants of the home had to relocate. No injuries were reported. The Omaha Fire Department said interviews are being conducted and the fire is under investigation. It is not yet known what caused the fire.
