Crews were busy with a house fire Saturday morning in Omaha. Omaha Fire received the call around 6:33 a.m. and responded to the area of 54th and P Street. Crews arrived and saw smoke and flames coming from the roof of the single-story home. Everyone inside left the home before crews arrived. The fire was then extinguished a short time after firefighters arrived. Although no injuries were reported, the fire still caused heavy damage to the home. Omaha Fire estimates the blaze resulted in $100,000 in damage to the structure and another $50,000 to its contents. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
