The Union County Bomb Squad along with police and firefighters responded to a home on State Street Monday evening after suspicious items, apparently used to make bombs, were found there. The house was being cleared after police discovered the suspicious items in the home during a check on the welfare of the residents, according to a post on the Clark Police Department's Facebook page. "There is no threat to the public or any reason for alarm. Every precaution is being taken to ensure the safety of the surrounding community," the Facebook post stated. A police monitoring service indicated the materials were found in the home about 6 p.m.
