Robbinsville Firefighters Battle Turnpike Truck Fire

Robbinsville Fire Department Squad Company 40 teamed up with Hightstown Engine Company Station 41 and East Windsor VFC Tanker 42 to urgently respond to a tractor trailer fire on the New Jersey Turnpike Fire officials reported. The call that a tractor trailer was ablaze in the southbound outer lanes between exits 7A and 8 just south of the Perrineville Road overpass was made just before 1:00 a.m. Fire crews were on scene for about 90 minutes during which time one lane of the Turnpike was closed to motorists. No injuries were reported.
