A home was damaged Wednesday evening in a fire in Mansfield Township, according to a report from the scene. No one was reported injured. Prosecutor Richard Burke said the fire “looks to be accidental." The blaze was reported at 6:56 p.m. at 574 Mount Bethel Road, and township police arrived to find flames coming from the home. Responding fire companies used tankers to haul water to an artificial pond set up near the home because there were no hydrants in the area. Warren County Fire Marshal Joe Lake investigated the blaze, along with township police and the county prosecutor’s office. In addition to township police and firefighters there were firefighters at the scene from Tri-County, Mount Bethel (N.J.), Mountain Lake, Independence Township, Hackettstown, Washington and Oxford Township.
