A head-on crash involving a New Jersey Transit link bus and an SUV early Friday in Camden County injured five people, including one person who had to be taken by helicopter to the hospital, authorities said.
The wreck occurred around 5:45 a.m. in Winslow Township on Cross Keys Road and Oakland Avenue, said NJ Transit spokeswoman Lisa Torbic.
The driver of the SUV crossed into oncoming traffic and slammed into the NJ Transit Access Link bus carrying one passenger, Torbic said. The driver of the bus and the customer on board were hospitalized, but Torbic did not know the extent of their injuries or the condition of those in the SUV.
A total of five people were hospitalized in the crash, according to Dan Keashen, spokesman for Camden County.
