Two Charged in Connection with Wood-Ridge Dumpster Fire

The Wood-Ridge Police Department arrested two individuals on multiple charges in connection with a dumpster fire early Thursday morning in the borough. According to Wood-Ridge Detective Sergeant Joseph Biamonte, Jr., Officers Mark Torsiello and Devin Ochiuzzo were called to the area of 250 South Main Street in Wood-Ridge for a report of a dumpster fire at 12:55am on Thursday, August 22. Officers responded to the scene along with the Wood-Ridge Fire Department. The fire was extinguished quickly without incident. An eyewitness reported to Torsiello and Ochiuzzo that two individuals, a male and a female, were at the scene igniting the fire. The witness provided a description of the two individuals, and that they arrived in a dark colored vehicle with a spare tire attached to the rear. Officers located the vehicle and conduct a motor vehicle stop.
