Jason Dilley and Kelly Banko are used to being at the scene of car crashes, as part of their volunteer work with the Chester First Aid Squad. But in mid-July, the young couple found themselves on the other side, when they were involved in a motorcycle crash.
"Both Jason and Kelly spend countless hours giving back to others and now it is our time to return the favor," a friend of the couple's, Paul Sharpe, wrote in a fundraising effort for the pair.
Dilley and Banko were injured in a crash on July 13, and taken to Geisinger Hospital in Pennsylvania by helicopter. "Luckily, both of them are alive and stable today but have a long road to recovery," Sharpe said. Both contribute to the community in more ways than one. Dilley is the Chief of the Chester First Aid squad and a firefighter with the Chester Fire Company, and an EMT for Atlantic Mobile Health and Morris County OEM.
