Firefighters may fantasize about owning their own firetruck, but Wyckoff's Timothy Murray actually went out and bought himself a 1972 Mack 500-gallon pumper in 2004. Murray spent 18 months and $7,000 on restoring the "bucket of rust." Murray, the sales manager for Tilcon aggregate material supply company in Parsippany, enjoys driving the truck in parades when he's not busy answering calls for Wyckoff Fire Company 1. As with many firefighters, it's a family affair for the Murrays. East Rutherford Exempt Firemen's Memorial Park is dedicated to his father, Peter Murray, who served with the Fire Department for 50 years, including as chief. He was also a councilman for the township. Brother Pete Murray is a former member of the East Rutherford and Wallington fire departments. Brother-in-law Mike Falco also served as chief with the East Rutherford department, where his daughter Margaret Falco just became a firefighter.
