We are in for one more deluge before a sunnier weekend and the National Weather Service has warned most of New Jersey to get ready for some possible flooding.
A flash flood watch from the NWS will cover all but the state's most southeastern counties beginning 2 p.m Thursday and running through the evening. "Showers and thunderstorms will move into eastern Pennsylvania and much of New Jersey this afternoon and through this evening. Thunderstorms will be capable of heavy rainfall," according to the alert. "Total rain amounts will range from 1 to 2 inches with locally higher amounts possible."
Much of the state is already waterlogged from two days of stormy weather and, where the ground is already saturated, it will take very little additional rain to produce flooding conditions, according to the NWS.
