All are invited to visit the Stirling Firehouse at 321 Somerset Street, Stirling, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, for a day of family fun and fire safety activities.
The Stirling Volunteer Fire Company will host a fire prevention open house featuring free rides on a Stirling fire engine, live demonstrations of the Jaws of Life on wrecked cars and more. The event will take place rain or shine.
Attendees can shoot water from a real fire hose and learn how to use a fire extinguisher. There will be plenty of free kids activities, free fire hats, and fire safety coloring books for the kids.
Visitors will also be invited to try on firefighting gear, tour the firehouse, get an up-close look at the inside of fire trucks including Stirling’s own 1939 Diamond T Smoke-eater.
