Hamilton Fire Captain Taylor Retiring After 28 Years of Service

For more that 28 years, Hamilton Fire Captain Fred Taylor has served and protected the community. On Tuesday, Taylor worked his final shift on Engine 19 before his retirement. In a social media post from Hamilton Township Fire District 9 and Groveville Fire Company, his colleagues wished him well in the next phase of life. "Congratulations on your retirement Captain Fred Taylor, working his final shift today on Engine Company 19! Thank you for 28+ years of dedicated service to the residents of Hamilton Township. We wish you a long and enjoyable retirement," his fellow firefighters said. Calling Taylor a “firefighter’s firefighter,” Nick Buroczi, president of FMBA Local 284 said that his leadership will be missed in the firehouse. “Hamilton Township has been safer because of Fred, we wish him a happy, healthy, and long retirement.”
