Around 2:25 p.m. all Monroe fire departments responded to a reported explosion in a detached garage with reported fire. Initial reports stated the homeowner was using a garden hose to try to extinguish the fire. Firefighters quickly arrived and were able to pull hand lines to start extinguishing the fire. The majority of the fire was knocked down within ten minutes. An elevated master stream was also placed in service.
