VIDEO: There have been reports of a few balloons that had rough landings Monday morning.
The Mr. Fish balloon made its landing on a light pole in northeast Albuquerque, next to the Lovelace Medical Center. According to the crew, there were no injuries.
Mr. Fish balloon pilot Rubens Kalousidian, a veteran pilot from Brazil, said this is his sixth or seventh Balloon Fiesta, but it is his first time landing like this.
"I landed in this small place and then, because the wind is a little bit strong it turned the envelope over the trees," Kalousidian said.
He added, "It's exciting, but I don't like because the wind. I choose the wrong wind to land and that came to the city."
Another balloon got tangled in a power line west of Rio Rancho, in the area of 14th and Southern. The pilot and passenger fell from the balloon but suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The gondola and balloon both caught on fire and were damaged.
