It was a busy morning for Albuquerque firefighters as they battled multiple structure fires on Friday morning. Albuquerque Fire Rescue was dispatched to the La Vida Nueva Apartments around 7 a.m. after residents saw smoke coming from the roof. Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control in minutes. One person was taken to the hospital however the details of their injuries have not been released. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. There was also a blaze at an abandoned car wash near Central and Tramway. A woman was also seen getting arrested after a unit caught fire at the Desert Oasis Apartments in the southeast region of the city. The Big Lots on Menaul also experienced some smoke following an overnight incident though no damage was reported. There was also a small fire at a residence in northwest Albuquerque.
