VIDEO: Crews are battling a fire in Valencia County along the Bosque. Multiple agencies are dealing with very dry conditions both on the ground and in the air. BCFD says the fire is off State Road NM-314 and Mile Marker 11. BCFD also says the fire is about 15 acres in size. “This is a fire that our crews are going to be out here for some time this is not going to be done by any means tonight. I’m sure it’s going to go well into tomorrow [Friday] and maybe the next day,” said Lt. David Lujan with the Bernalillo County Fire Dept. Heavy smoke is billowing in the area and carrying over to the other side of the Manzano Mountains. An investigator is on the scene to determine what started the fire. Crews are not saying if there is any percent containment. BCFD says there are homes in the area that are currently threatened.
