Carson City Fire Department knocked down a structure fire Tuesday afternoon that ignited outside of a garage in the 2500 block of Larry Circle near Dori Way. No injuries were reported. The call came into dispatch at 2:39 p.m. A battalion chief with the Carson City Fire Department immediately boosted the fire to a "working incident" as a heavy amount of smoke was seen from a distance. The fire was reportedly in a garage at the back of a residence. Arriving firefighters noted the garage was burning, on the exterior, and was putting out a heavy amount of smoke. Occupants of a nearby residence evacuated. Firefighters had it knocked down within minutes of arriving.
