Las Vegas Fire and Rescue responded to the fire on Taylor Creek Avenue, near Ann Road and Rainbow Boulevard, shortly before 3:30 p.m. When crews arrived, firefighters say flames and smoke were shooting out a second floor window. The fire started in a bedroom, which was gutted, according to authorities. The rest of the house had very light smoke damage. There were no injuries. Authorities estimated damage at $50,000. Three adults, three children and one small dog are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
