An early morning fire did about $150,000 in damage to an east valley house, but the sole occupant escaped without injury, according to the Clark County Fire Department. The fire was reported about 4 a.m. in the 2100 block of Falling Rain Drive, near Sahara Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard, where heavy fire was coming from the garage of a single-story house, officials said. Firefighters fought the fire from outside before making their way into the garage and quickly extinguishing the blaze, officials said. The occupant, who was sleeping, was awakened by sounds in the garage and discovered the fire, officials said. He was able to get out on his own, officials said.
