An investigation is underway after a fire broke out outside an apartment building near Smithridge Drive late Thursday night. Firefighters responded on scene just after 11:30 p.m. to find a bush on fire. Crews tell us the fire climbed up the building into the attic where the firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze. No apartment units were damaged during the fire. However, there is some smoke damage as a result.
