The Sparks Fire Department will hold its 24th Annual Commendation Award Ceremony Thursday, March 14.
The ceremony is held to recognize outstanding actions and performances by fire department employees, local citizens, and businesses during the past year.
Friends and family members, as well as the public, are encouraged to attend.
Firefighter Nick Corona is the department’s “Firefighter of the Year" and will be awarded the “Firefighter of the Year” plaque, a Commendation Bar, and Certificate at the ceremony. Administrative Assistant Jeanette Martin is the department’s “Employee of the Year” and will be awarded the “Employee of the Year” plaque and Certificate.
