Two people were taken to a hospital Friday morning after a fire broke out in an eastern Las Vegas valley home, according to a fire official. Crews responded just after 3:35 a.m. to a report of a fire in the 4800 block of Fairfax Avenue, near Nellis and Tropicana, Clark County Deputy Fire Chief Jeff Buchanan said in an email. When they arrived they found smoke and flames coming from a single-story home, with two people still inside, Buchanan said. Some firefighters searched for the pair while others worked on knocking down the fire. Two people were found and taken to a hospital in unknown condition, according to Buchanan. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
