No one was hurt when a fire destroyed an abandoned house in West Las Vegas early Monday morning. The fire broke out at 2:29 a.m. at the corner of D. St. & W. Adams Ave, across the street from New Bethel Baptist Church and the Historic Westside School. Firefighters said the house was boarded up and supposed to be vacant. The fire firefighters on the scene set up a defensive position. The fire caused the roof to collapse and gutted the house. Firefighters were on the scene for several hours. The home is considered a total loss.
