Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called late Wednesday morning to a Beverly Drive address for a reported accidental gunshot wound to the hand. The call came into dispatch at 11:04 a.m. from an elderly man who stated he accidentally shot himself in the hand while loading his gun and was bleeding profusely. Carson City Sheriff's Office deputies arrived on the scene and secured the gun. The man had an enter and exit wound through his hand. The man was being treated for a gunshot wound to the hand and was taken to the hospital.
