One person is dead and two others are in the hospital after a fiery crash on Interstate 80 in Sparks early Sunday morning.
According to Nevada State Police, troopers responded to the crash on westbound I-80 near Pyramid Way just after 4 a.m. on May 28.
Police determined a car traveling westbound, carrying three people failed to yield when approaching Pyramid Way, hit a guard rail and caught fire.
The passenger of the car was killed while the driver and another passenger were rushed to the hospital in an unknown condition.
As of 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nevada State Police still had the freeway shut down and are diverting traffic to the Pyramid Way off-ramp.
