VIDEO: The nearly 17,000 acre Stockade Canyon Fire burning northwest of Gerlach is expected to be fully contained next week. The Forest Service says the 16,951-acre fire is now 29% contained after starting on July 23rd by a lightning strike. The BLM says there are no evacuations, although there are three homes and corrals threatened. Fire crews say the wildfire is expected to be fully contained sometime on August 8th. The BLM reports one injury.
