How much money do firefighters make in your community? The latest "What They Make" report from the Empire Center lists average firefighter pay in every municipality in New York State.
The data comes from the New York State and Local Retirement System, and averages are based on regular pay, overtime and pay for unused sick and vacation time. Pension contributions, health insurance and other benefits are not factored into the data.
