One firefighter suffered a minor injury as several departments battled a smoky fire at Star Gas at 33 Fulton St. late Saturday afternoon. Fairview firefighters arrived at the scene at 4:22 p.m., three minutes after the fire was reported, and found dense smoke pouring from a large building that is used to store propane service trucks. A second alarm was called in to bring additional resources to the scene. Fairview Fire Chief Christopher Maeder said the fire was declared under control at about 5:11 p.m. Saturday. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
