One person is in serious condition after firefighters pulled her out of a burning building in Syracuse on Wednesday. The call went out around 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday for a house fire at 330 Hatch Street. When crews arrived, they found a heavy fire on the first and second floors of the home. Crews were told that a female was trapped inside the home. Firefighters began searching for the victim and found her on the second floor of the home, unconscious and not breathing. Firefighters removed her from the home and she was transported to Upstate University Hospital where her condition is unknown as of 9:25 p.m. on Wednesday. The house fire was under control within 30 minutes, according to Deputy Chief Kane. Kane also said that there was a male occupant who exited the home on his own and was not injured. The house suffered extensive damage and the origin and cause of the fire are still unknown.
