VIDEO: Multiple fire departments were called out to battle a fire at a multi-family apartment building Thursday evening. The call came into Oneida County 911 just before 5:30 p.m. Route 46 was shut down to traffic and everyone made it out safely. NEWSChannel 2 has been told the apartment building was undergoing renovations at the time. The Durhamville fire department was the first on the scene and they called in crews from Oneida and Madison counties for help. "We run very limited man power, volunteerism is down." said Durhamville Fire Chief Eric Wilcox. "Each truck is maybe two to three people in it. We need to call multiple departments. There are water supply issues and we need to truck water in and our tankers." Wilcox added. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
