The Village of Medina Police Department along with the Medina Fire Department had a special reunion with a toddler that they helped save. Numerous Medina police officers and firefighters were reunited with 16-month-old Alisabeth Lloyd who became unresponsive after falling into a pool during a family cookout. The family gave "Your my hero" cookies to all the officers and firefighters involved as a thank you for all that they did on that terrifying night. On June 5 around 6:30 p.m. police responded to a 911 call for a child that was removed from a pool unconscious and not breathing. Officers say they arrived on the scene within minutes and took over CPR from a family member and neighbor. The officers began a series of back blows and chest compressions and carried the toddler to the ambulance where they were met with a team of off duty firefighters who then took over.
