Two people were airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester after a fire in Corning.
The calls for assistance at 16 Wicks Boulevard first came in around 12:45 a.m. Monday.
Several crews responded, including Corning Joint Fire District, the City of Corning Fire Department, AMR Ambulance, the Steuben County Sheriff's Office, New York State Police, Steuben County Emergency Services (EMO), Corning Natural Gas Corporation, and New York State Electric and Gas Corporation (NYSEG).
WENY News' reporter arrived on scene around 3:45 a.m.
Heavy damage to the Wicks Boulevard home was reported.
One firefighter was also hospitalized, and is under observation.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
