Firefighters found a dead body after a fire on McKee Road on Friday in the City of Rochester. The Rochester Fire Department says that crews were called to an industrial building on McKee Road just after noon on Friday. Upon arrival, they found heavy fire, high heat, low visibility, and hundreds of gallons of possible diesel fuel on fire. Although the crews were able to arrive quickly, they were ordered out of the building due to structural concerns before they could finish a search for possible victims. They found the victim only when they re-entered the building later. "Anytime this happens, we take this to heart," said Lieutenant Ryan Fleming on the crews discovering the body. "It's like losing one of our family members. that's why we're here is to serve and protect the community and to prevent things like this from happening. Unfortunately, the fire was such that it was not safe for our firefighters to be inside."
