A Bronx boy who fell six stories down a garbage chute in his apartment building had the luck to land on a soft pile of trash that broke his fall, police said. The 6-year old, who lives on the seventh floor of a building on E. 149th St. near Prospect Ave. in Mott Haven, fell inside the trash compactor chute just before 7 p.m. Wednesday. Firefighters found him between the first and second floors, in “good spirits” with no apparent injuries, a police source said. “He landed lightly on top of the garbage. He went into the chute on the seventh floor near where he lives,” the source said.
