A home was destroyed in the St. Lawrence County town of Rossie early Monday morning. Officials said a neighbor reported seeing flames coming from 112 Barker Road shortly before 2 a.m. According to the Gouverneur Fire Department’s Facebook page, the blaze had been burning for a long period of time before it was reported to 911. When volunteers arrived on the scene, they found the house had already collapsed. No injuries were reported. Firefighters battled the blaze for nearly 4 hours. Antwerp and Oxbow fire departments also responded to the scene.
