Troy's fire chief says observant workers kept a fire on Hoosick Street from getting too far on Tuesday. The chief says the workers smelled something around 167 Hoosick Street, saw a little smoke coming from the building and called it in. Fire crews got there in time to keep the fire from getting too far. The chief said it would have been a much bigger deal if they did not take action. He said it's believed an electrical malfunction started the fire. No one was hurt.
