Three civilians and two firefighters were injured Sunday in a fire at a New Dorp apartment complex, according to a city Fire Department (FDNY) spokesman.
Firefighters responded just after 2 p.m. to a report of a fire on the sixth floor of 265 Mill Road, an FDNY spokesman said.
Three civilians who suffered minor injuries were evaluated by emergency responders, treated at the scene and refused transport to a hospital, authorities said. Two firefighters were transported to Staten Island University Hospital, Ocean Breeze, with minor injuries.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation, as of Sunday afternoon.
