VIDEO: Firefighters rushed to Evans Street in Williamsville to battle a fire at the Georgetown apartments.
The blaze began Monday evening, starting in the kitchen of apartment A-3, and quickly spread to the attic. It took fire crews nine minutes to knock down the fire.
Fire officials tell News 4, no one was inside the apartment when the fire broke out. The Red Cross is helping one resident that’s without a home because of the blaze.
A damage estimate from the fire comes in at $700,000. The structure took $500,000 damage and the contents $200,000. No one was injured and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
