‘All hands’ FDNY response extinguishes Staten Island house fire

The FDNY issued an “all-hands” response to a fire in a Great Kills home Sunday night. The FDNY received a call for a house fire at 52 Trent St., between Hylan Boulevard and Amboy Road, at 4:56 p.m., according to an official from the department’s press office. A total of 12 FDNY units and 60 firefighters arrived to the scene, the official said. The blaze was brought under control at 5:29 p.m. No injuries were reported in the blaze or subsequent response, according to the department. The home, a 2.5 story residence, appeared to sustain interior damage. Firefighters were observed removing debris from the outside of the home that caught fire. The cause of the fire was not immediately available.
