Firefighters were called to Pleasant Ridge Thursday afternoon for a fire above an Irish pub. The fire broke out around 2 p.m. above The Coffee Exchange on Montgomery Road near Ridge Road. Crews said the fire started in the attic and spread to the rest of the building. Flames have heavily damaged the building that houses a local favorite. Molly Malone's, the building adjacent to the fire, was damaged as well to the tune of $300,000. The Coffee Exchange is considered to be a total loss and is in the process of being demolished on Thursday night.
