A woman escaped a house fire in Northside Wednesday morning. The blaze broke out at a home on Springlawn Avenue just after 6 a.m. Firefighters on the scene saw heavy flames coming from the front of the house when they arrived. According to dispatch, one woman made it out of the house safely. She told firefighters that both of her front exits were blocked, so she used her evacuation plan to get out of a rear window. No information has been released yet on what caused the fire. It did $250,000 in damage.
