One person was injured and a home was destroyed by fire Saturday morning in west Columbus. A home in the 2100 block of Ripple Road had significant damage according to Battalion Chief Steve Martin. The fire was called in a little before 8:45 a.m. Martin said one person was injured, but it was minor and they were treated on scene. Arson investigators were called to the scene to determine the cause and origin of the fire. The Red Cross also has been called in to assist the family.
