Elyria Fire Department retrieved a black 2018 Kia Sorento that went off a hillside and into the Black River on Ford Road near the Valley of the Eagles Golf Club after 1 p.m. Oct. 10. Police said the Kia was reported stolen at 2:50 a.m. Oct. 10 in Elyria. A person playing golf at the club saw the car and called police, authorities said. A section of Ford Road behind Golden Corral restaurant was closed to traffic, police said.
