Real world experience sometimes teaches people better than a textbook. For some Trumbull County Technical and Career students the ability to learn this way became a reality this week. It's something you never want to have to need, but you're certainly glad to have when you do. A 1999 Ford Road Rescue Unit has a new home at TCTC. Students taking part in the school's professional emergency services curriculum will be using the ambulance to gain real world skills. "We realized the major importance of students and making them successful was actually getting them out in the field or actually getting their hands on equipment," said Howland Fire Chief, James Panatalone. Anything they would have to do at a fire department or an ambulance company they can now learn here. For EMT students it's real time training.
