A firefighter is expected to be OK after falling through the floor while battling a house fire on Tuesday in East Price Hill, officials said. The fire broke out around 6:30 a.m. on Glenway Avenue. When they arrived the situation turned life-threatening. The home was unoccupied, but search crews found two dogs inside. With heavy smoke coming from the second floor, one firefighter conducting a search fell through the floor causing a mayday situation. Ccinnati Fire Department Assistant Chief Tom Lakamp said as crews attacked the fire.Another truck began to search the home. That's when a firefighter fell through the second floor. "As soon as they entered the rear doors, the firefighter fell through the floor. That was not a fire endangered area. It was just a weak structure," Lakamp said.
