The State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating after a fatal fireworks accident took the life of a 23-year old man this weekend. Authorities say James Stephen “Scott” Warren was killed during what investigators said was “an illegal private display.” The Union Township Assistant Fire Chief Jay Cropper was called to the scene Saturday at 10:10 p.m. on Henley Mount Joy Road. Cropper said family and friends had gotten together at a cabin to celebrate Independence Day. “The unthinkable happened to this family at that time,” Cropper said. “Whatever you think will never happen to you, can and will happen to you. Life is funny, it will bite you if you are not careful.” Cropper said there lessons we can learn from what happened.
