The Toledo Fire & Rescue Department held its annual memorial service today to honor all those who have died in the line of duty. Today is the 58th anniversary of a tanker fire on The Anthony Wayne Trail that killed four Toledo firefighters. Two names were also added to the list of line of duty deaths today. Lt. Charles Morrissey died of pneumonia in 1944. He contracted the disease while fighting a fire in 1943. Two of his daughters were at Monday's ceremony. His 93-year-old daughter Audrey Eberle says she had been hoping for this day for many years. His 78-year-old daughter Sharon Molnar was also proud to see his name added to the monument honoring fallen firefighters. Private Neal Millsaps name was also added to the list. He died of a heart attack while working at Station 24 in 1975.
